The Craft House

The McCormick Craft House is a former chicken house dating from the 1950's when the Garrison House was still a farm.  Today we use the building to demonstrate quilting, soapmaking, and candle-dipping.  Students participating in the school program actually participate in these activities, and we have live demonstrations for the public on Craft Day.

Here, one of our members is demonstrating soapmaking on colonial craft day in Sept 2000.

This completes the virtual tour of the "Old Chelmsford" Garrison House. We hope you enjoyed it and that you will join us at one of our events this summer.
